Detroit Step 1 Overhaul Kits for DD Series Engines come with:6 Cylinder Kits, 6 Connecting Rod Assemblies, EGR Actuator Linkage Nut, Oil Pump, Oil Filter, Oil Pan Gasket, Coolant Filter, Fuel Line Kit, Fuel Filter Kit, Low-End-Bearing Kit, Cylinder Head Bolt Set, Cylinder Head Gasket Kit, and an Engine Block Gasket Kit.


  • Detroit StepUP Overhaul Program:

  • DD Series Step 1 Basic Overhaul - DD Series Step 1 Kits include all required replacement parts for Step 1 Overhauls.

  • DD Series Step 2 Super Overhaul - Add the Cylinder Head, Coolant Thermostat, and Fuel Pump to the Step 1 Overhaul.

  • DD Series Step 3 Complete Overhaul - Add the Turbocharger, Fuel Injectors (PowerPack), and Water Pump to the Step 2 Overhaul. For Turbocompound applications the APT Gearbox and APT Turbine must also be ordered and replaced.

  • DD Series Step 4 Reman Engine - Purchase a 3/4 or PowerChoice Reman Engine.

  • Contact your local Detroit Service Outlet to learn more about the StepUP Overhaul program and how to qualify for up to a 2 Year / 200,000 mile or a 3 Year / 300,000 Mile StepUP Warranty.

  • DD Series Overhaul Steps 1-3 must be performed by an authorized Detroit service outlet to be eligable for StepUP Coverage.

  • DD Series Overhaul Step 4 must be performed by a Detroit service outlet or Dealer/Distributor authorized locations to be eligable for StepUP Coverage.
